If something is more trouble than it's worth or is not worth the trouble, it is not important or useful enough to make an effort doing it.
It's more trouble than it's worth to take it back to the shop and ask for a replacement. 把它拿回商店重换不值,太麻烦了。
It's not worth the trouble of applying for that job. You have no chance of getting it. 不值得费力去申请那份工作,根本就没有可能得到。
