to cock a gun (= push the necessary piece into position so that the gun is ready to fire) again, for a second, third, etc. time
Between sorties, I take out the empty ammo boxes, and reload and re-cock the guns. 在出外勤的间隙中，我取出空弹匣，再装上子弹并再次扣上板机。
